May 28, 1987—"Engagements: Friedman/Schenk," San Diego Jewish Times, p.7:  Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Friedman of Marietta, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Shari Jane, to Frederick Schenk, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Schenk of Los Angeles. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Herman Friedman of Atlanta, Ga., and the late Herman Friedman, and Mr. and Mrs. Murray Goldsmith of Sunrise, Florida.  Shari Jane is a graduate of Tufts University, with a bachelor's degree in economics, and is currently employed by the Greater San Diego Chamber of Commerce. Frederick is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and of the University of San Diego School of Law.  He is an attorney with the law firm of Casey, Gerry, Casey, Wetsbrook, Reed and Hughes in San Diego. They are planning a September wedding in ATlanta.
